SUBJECT: Don’t Bite Off More Than You Can Chew

{FIRSTNAME},

When you first start-up with Internet Marketing, you’re hoping to
just make a little bit of money. But with some hard work and maybe
a little bit of money, you soon start making a decent amount of
money. And you start having opportunities come your way to make
even more money. Your eyes light-up with all the possibilities and
you begin to take on more and more projects. Soon, you find
yourself drowning in your own success.

This is actually a common mistake that many people make, especially
people who are new to running their own business. And this is
actually a very good way to begin failing at your business.

You always have to know exactly what you’re doing when you make
your business plans. Plan out what you will have to do and how much
time it will take you to do it. Then make sure you have enough time
to do it. If not, then you might have to put-off some projects or
refuse to be a part of other projects.

This is very hard to do. It’s not easy to say no to a business
opportunity. This is especially true when the business opportunity
sounds fun and like it’ll make a lot of money. But if you don’t
have the time then you have to stay away from it.

If you become involved with a project that you don’t have time for,
there can only be one of two outcomes and neither of them is any
good. The first outcome is that you don’t have time for that
project so it just takes time from other projects. So that project
– or another project or two – goes undone, which means you wasted
your time, effort, and probably money. The other possible outcome
is that you get all your projects done but none of them are any
good because you didn’t spend enough time on them. Of course, this
will result in you losing money as well. And it might even ruin
your reputation and your entire business.

You can not bite off more than you can chew. You always have to
stay realistic about how much time you have and how much work you
can complete. To do that, you first have to make sure that you plan
out exactly what you’re doing. You need to know how much time you
have and you need to make sure you have the time for every new
project that you decide to take on. If you bite off more than you
can chew – if you take on more than you can handle, then you will
find yourself with too much work and that could ruin some projects
if not your entire business.

    Don’t Give Up!

If you are trying to achieve success at anything, the first thing
you must commit to is that no matter what, you won’t give up. You
have to tell yourself that there’s no way you’re going to let
yourself fail, no matter what happens. You have to believe that you
    will never give up.

The path to success is a long and winding road. There will be ups
and downs. It will be somewhat easy for some people and it will be
very difficult for others. And then for everyone else achieving
success will be somewhere in between. But on thing that’s certain
is if you’re going to be successful then you can’t give-up.

It takes all different kinds of people to achieve success.

Some people went to college and studied hard for many years. These
people got their Bachelor’s, and their Master’s, and some even got
their Doctorate Degree. And then they finally ventured out on their
own and now they are very successful.

Other people begin their journey to success much sooner. Some
people drop out of college and some even drop out of high school.
They know what they want and they go for it with unwavering passion
and dedication. And without a solid education, these people become
    successful.

So you have people who are very well-educated and people who aren’t
educated hardly at all who both become successful. These people
have very little in common. But they do have something in common
that is the most important ingredient to being successful. They are
all very successful because they didn’t give up.

When every thing else is stripped away, that’s what’s truly
important. If you want to be successful, you can never give up.
This sounds simple and it can be, but often it’s much easier said
    than done.

It can be a daily struggle to always stay committed to success and
not to allow yourself to give into thoughts of doubt. Sometimes
things will get so bad that you think there’s no possible way
you’ll be successful with what you’re trying to do. You’ll curse
yourself for even trying to do what it is you’re doing. You’ll
begin to think of ways to stop trying and to move onto something
    else.

Don’t let this happen to you. Know that the number one thing that
it takes to be successful is perseverance. You can’t give up. You
have to keep striving and believing. You have to keep yourself on
the right path and have faith in what you’re doing.

Because in the end, if you don’t believe in yourself, no one else
will either. But if you do believe in yourself, and if you refuse
to ever give up, then others will start believing in you too. And
before you know it, you’ll be truly successful. So make sure you
    don’t ever give up.

Knowing Yourself is the Key to Success and Happiness

    Self Improvement No Comments »
    AddThis Social Bookmark Button

We are all trying to be successful in our lives – especially our
professional lives. But not everyone will be successful. So that
has to lead to the question: What is it that makes people
successful? And really, while we’re at it we could also ask: What
is it that makes people happy?

Though success doesn’t automatically lead to happiness and
happiness certainly doesn’t automatically lead to success, the two
are very closely related. And there’s one thing that you need in
order to achieve both, that one thing is to know yourself.

But what does it mean to know yourself? Of course we all know
ourselves to some extent. But not all of us truly know ourselves.

Getting to truly know yourself starts with being honest with
yourself. That means you have to take a good look at who and what
you are and be honest with what you find. Discover what your
strengths and weaknesses are. Know your likes and dislikes. Know
what you do well and what you don’t do quite so well.

Once you’re honest with yourself and once you truly know yourself,
then you can begin to act accordingly. You can make sure you are
always playing toward your strengths and away from your weaknesses.
You can try to always be working at something you enjoy or at least
something that is related to what you enjoy. And you can also make
solid decisions that you won’t regret and you’ll always be able to
    live with.

Too often people don’t truly know themselves and then they end-up
making decisions and trying to do things that they’re either
horrible at or that they hate. This ultimately leads to their
    failure and unhappiness.

And too often the person can know themselves well if he or she
would just be honest with themselves. But people try to lie to
themselves and they try to talk themselves into thinking and
feeling certain ways. It just doesn’t work.

For example, a person may want to make a lot of money so they go
into a profession that will make them a lot of money. They start
making good money but they just aren’t happy. Then before they know
it, their performance at work is beginning to go downhill. The
person can’t understand what’s going wrong. Well, if that person
would stop and think about it be honest with themselves then that
person would realize that they hate what they’re doing and they’ll
never be happy or truly successful doing what it is they foolishly
    chose to do.

So make sure you’re always honest with yourself and make sure you
take the time to really get to know yourself. Then from there you
can make solid decisions that will positively influence your
future. Take the time to know yourself and you will be both
    successful and happy.

Success or Failure? It’s all in your Mind…

    Self Improvement No Comments »
    AddThis Social Bookmark Button

What is it that separates people who are successful from those who
are not? Is it hard work? Is it education? Or is it luck? Certainly
all these factors – and many more- play a role in determining if
you are successful or not. But there is one factor that seems to
stand above all the other factors, and that is a belief in and the
    want to succeed.

If you think about it, what every successful person has in common
is that they have a firm belief in themselves and a belief that
they will accomplish what they want to accomplish. There is not one
successful person who didn’t believe deep-down in their heart and
soul, that they could be successful.

I know what your thinking, how can it possibly be that easy? How
can just believing that you’ll be successful lead to actual
success? Well, it’s much easier said than done. But that doesn’t
    mean it isn’t true.

Obviously there’s more to it then just believing you will be
successful. In fact, there are many people in the world who think
they’ll be successful but they don’t actually do anything about it.
They just somehow believe they’ll magically “make it”. But these
people are dreamers. And they don’t really want to succeed. If they
did, they’d do more than just dream.

If you truly believe you have what it takes to succeed, and you
truly want to succeed, then you will succeed. Why? Because you’ll
keep working until you actually make it. And you won’t mind doing
whatever it takes, you won’t mind working very hard, because you’ll
know it’ll all be well worth the effort. You’ll know you’re going
    to succeed.

This is why there are so many people in this world who are wildly
successful without taking the conventional paths to success. There
are many people who quit college. There are many people who went
against what everyone told them and did things the way they wanted
    to do them.

But you know what? These people probably would’ve succeeded even if
they did finish college and even if they did what other people
wanted them to do. This is because these people had a solid belief
that they would succeed and they really wanted to succeed.

So what can you learn from all of this?

Well, the main lesson you can learn is that the path you take isn’t
nearly as important as your will. This should be a great comfort to
    you.

What this means is that you can take many different paths and still
reach your goals. You can make mistake and still achieve success.
You don’t need to do everything perfectly in order to make it. As
long as you keep your belief in yourself and what you’re doing, and
as long as you really want to succeed then you will succeed.

So, always remember that your mind can be your best friend or your
worst enemy. If you don’t believe you will succeed, then you won’t.
But if you believe you can succeed – and you’re willing to do what
it takes to do so – then you will achieve your goals and you will
    be successful.

Focus is the Key to Success

Owning your own business is a dream for many people. Being able to
call your own shots and set your own hours is certainly an
appealing idea. However, often people realize their dream only to
discover that working on their own and running their own business
is much more difficult than they ever expected.

There is a lot more to running your own business than simply
working day by day. There are distractions at every turn and often
people find it difficult to actually get anything accomplished. For
all these people who are struggling, what they need to do is focus.

Usually when you’re trying to run your own business, you have more
than one project going at once. So the first thing you need to make
sure you focus on is one project at a time. Beyond the projects,
you also want to make sure you have a very clear focus of what you
want to accomplish and how much money you want to make.

Before you can even begin to get focused you first need to make
sure you’re organized. If you’re one of those people who cringes
when the word “organization” is mentioned then don’t worry. You
just need to get organized enough so that you know what needs to
get done. This means you need to make a schedule that includes both
what you need to complete long-term and what you need to do for
    that day.

Once you know what you need to get done on a specific day then you
need to focus on just those tasks. So break the tasks down even
further. How long will each of them take you? When exactly will you
work on them? Once you know these things then you just need to
focus on each task when you’re supposed to be doing it. In other
words, don’t worry about anything else except what you’ve planned
    to focus on.

You want to be able to focus on each project and you also want to
keep track of how long each project takes you to complete. Then you
need to keep track of how much money you make from each project.
That way you can tell how productive you’re being. You can even
chart exactly how much money you’re making each hour and each day.
This way you’ll be able to focus on the projects that are most
    profitable for you.

When you go into business for yourself, you can quickly lose
yourself in the avalanche of everyday tasks and your long-term
goals. That’s why it’s so important to focus on exactly what you
    want to do.

Becoming focused and staying that way will help you know exactly
what needs to be done each day so that you are productive each day.
Focus will also help you complete your long-term goals faster and
focus will allow you to know how much money you are making per day,
    per week, and per project.

Focus will help you be more successful daily and with your entire
    business.

Don’t Put it Off Until Tomorrow: Stop Procrastinating Now!

    Self Improvement No Comments »
    AddThis Social Bookmark Button

If you’re like many people, procrastination may be one of your
biggest obstacles to becoming more successful. Continually putting
off what you need to do has a ripple effect on everything you need
to do. The more you put off working, the more behind you get with
everything else too. Eventually something either goes undone or
you’re forced to rush through your tasks and not do the best you can.

Therefore, it’s imperative that you learn to stop procrastinating.
Four tips to help you stop procrastinating today are to break down
your tasks, write down your goals, eliminate distractions, and work
    in blocks.

    Break Down Your Tasks

Often tasks can seem very overwhelming. Going from start to finish
seems like such a long journey that it’s hard to get started.
That’s why it’s a good idea to break down tasks into smaller jobs.

By breaking down your tasks, what you’re actually doing is working
toward your ultimate goal by setting many smaller goals along the
way. These smaller goals should include what you want to get done
each and every day. That way you are able to chip away every single
day and you never feel like the job is too big.

However, it’s not enough just to set many smaller goals; you have
to take it a step further. And that brings us to the next tip.

    Write Down Your Goals

Not only do you have to plan out smaller goals that lead up to your
ultimate goal, but you also have to write down your goals. Writing
down your goals does two things: helps keep you organized and makes
    you keep to your schedule.

Since you’re setting so many goals, you need to write all of them
down so that you don’t forget any of your goals and you’re able to
keep track of everything. Also, writing down all your goals will
make them real to you and will help you stay true to meeting each
    goal, each and every day.

    Eliminate Distractions

The vast majority of us perform our Internet Marketing tasks from
the comfort of our own homes. While this is a great thing for many
reasons, it’s also something that promotes procrastination. The
reason for this is all the distractions.

Perhaps there are kids or a spouse that you would rather spend time
with. Perhaps the television is showing a movie you’d love to
watch. And then the Internet is full of distractions with forums
    and information and entertainment sites.

So it’s up to you to recognize these distractions – especially the
ones that influence you the most – and to get rid of them. Have a
spot where you work that is free from distractions. Wear earphones
to block out the noise. Do whatever it takes to eliminate all the
    possible distractions.

    Work in Blocks

Just as it’s often hard to tackle a major project, it’s also hard
to commit to sitting down for hours at a time. It’s much more
tempting to put off work when the work requires you to sit for
hours on end. So break down the work into 20 – 40 minute blocks,
which ever works best for you.

In between blocks of working, you can take 5-15 minute breaks where
you visit other sites or get away from your computer and do
something else. You can even allow yourself to do the things that
usually serve as distractions. That way you’re killing two birds
    with one stone.

    Stop Procrastinating Today

Procrastinating, or putting off what you have to do, is a very
common problem for many people. It’s especially a problem for those
of us who are our own boss. To stop procrastinating right away you
should break down your tasks, write down your goals, eliminate
    distractions, and work in blocks.

If you have a serious problem with procrastination and need more
help, I’ve heard good things about the “Defeating Procrastination”
system. I haven’t checked it out myself yet, however, I’ve had two
friends recommend it to me. Feel free to give it a try!

Two Great Tips to Make More Time in Your Day

    Self Improvement No Comments »
    AddThis Social Bookmark Button

One of the most common complaints for people who operate their own
business is that there simply isn’t enough time in the day. Well,
obviously there is no way to add more time to our days, but there
are some things we can all do to have more working time in our days.

The first thing we can do is sleep less. For some people this isn’t
an option because they are already going on the least sleep
possible. But if you get more sleep than you need, then try staying
up an hour later or getting up and hour earlier. You just have to
figure out which one is for you. Some people are more productive at
night while others are more productive in the morning. So figure
out when you do your best work and extend that part of your day by
    an hour.

You can also try adjusting your sleeping patterns rather than
shortening them. In other words, you can try shortening your day at
one end and lengthening it at the other end. For example, if you
are a morning person and you find that you can only stare at the
television and veg-out for the last couple hours you’re up, then
you should go to bed an hour earlier (rather than waste it watching
television) and then get up and hour earlier to work.

You do have to be careful when toying with your sleep though. You
don’t want to get so little sleep that you aren’t productive while
you’re awake and working. So make sure you still feel refreshed and
ready to go when you wake-up.

The second tip for creating more time in your day involves
something we mentioned in the first tip – watching television.
Television is a giant mind sucking machine that takes up more of
our time than any of us would like to admit. In fact, many of us
probably don’t even realize how much time we waste plugged into
something that does nothing more than (at best) entertain us.

Try this experiment, right down all the time you spend watching
television in one week. Chart every single minute. Then multiply
the hours by 52. Then multiply that by a modest income like ten
dollars an hour. What number did you come up with? Five thousand
dollars? Ten thousand dollars? More? Now multiply that by the
number of years you’ve been watching television as an adult. Make
you sick? Just think about what you could have accomplished or the
money you could have made while you’re sitting in front of the
    television.

I’m not going to tell you to throw your television out the window
and never watch it again, because I do think it’s useful to help
people unwind and/or relax. But don’t spend more than an hour or
two in front of the television. Spend less if possible.

One more, big, no-no involving the television: Many people have
laptops that they work on while watching television. Others have
their desktops in the same room with the television. Do not waste
your time or effort trying to work with the television on. It might
make working easier but what you’re actually doing is making things
take three to four times longer. So when you’re working – work. And
then you can just watch television when the work’s done.

We all complain that we don’t have enough time in our day. But just
by adjusting our sleeping patterns and our television watching
habits, we can all create at least another hour or two of work in
    our days.

    The Power of Positive Thinking

    Self Improvement 1 Comment »
    AddThis Social Bookmark Button

The power of all of our minds is much stronger than most of us give
it credit for. Your mind can either be your best friend of your
worst enemy. And it’s up to you to decide which you want it to be.

If you are constantly worrying about failing then chances are you
will fail. If you are scared that something you are about to try
will go wrong then it probably will go wrong.

We’re not talking about a concern here. What we’re talking about is
really being scared of failure. What we’re talking about is
thinking more about failure than success.

If you concentrate on failing then you have a very good chance of
failing. However, if you concentrate on succeeding then chances are
    you will succeed.

That’s why you need to train yourself to think positively at all
times. Don’t allow yourself to think negative thoughts. Always stay
positive and most likely positive things will happen.

To help yourself keep with positive thinking you can try to do any
number of mental exercises. One such exercise involves you resting
and imagining that you are a giant tree.

For this exercise what you need to do is sit in a comfortable chair
with your feet on the floor. Your arms should be resting at your
sides. Begin breathing deeply and imagine your feet growing roots.
These roots continue to grow and burrow deep into the ground. Then
imagine that these roots are always with you and will keep you
strong against even the biggest storms. Whenever anything difficult
happens to you during your work day remember that exercise and
remember that you are a tree with very strong roots.

And that’s really the biggest thing to do, keep thinking positive
thoughts no matter what happens. In fact, work hard to turn
everything into a positive experience. If something bad happens
learn something positive from it and then move on. Do not wallow in
the negative because that’s just giving the bad thing far more
    power than it deserves.

So remember, no matter what happens, always think positive and
always expect good things to happen. Sometimes success comes right
away and sometimes it takes a while. And whether you think you’ll
fail or whether you think you’ll succeed, you’re probably right.

For much more detail into the power of positive thinking and how it
can improve your life check out the 142 step “Science Of Success”

How to achieve Everything You Want in Life

Internet Marketing Articles, Self Improvement 3 Comments »
    AddThis Social Bookmark Button

“How many times have you set goals, only to see them remain incomplete….”

Stop whatever you are doing and write these words on a piece of paper that you can keep with you at all times. It is a quote from Napoleon Hill

“Dream big dreams; Only big dreams have the power to move men’s souls.”

By following a simple daily technique you can achieve everything you want in life.

What stops you from achieving everything you want in life? Here are a couple of things for your consideration.

Procrastination - is one main reason people do not achieve their goals. Nearly everyone is guilty of procrastination from time to time(although we sometimes use other names for it - well excuses really, even the most motivated are subject to it on occasions.

Stop myself in your tracks and ask of yourself ‘Is what you are doing at this precise moment taking to toward or away from the goal you have set?’ Possibly your procrastination has come about because the goal you have set is too small. Your thought processes are - well that can be achieved that at any time at a drop of a hat so I will do it later.

Big joke - you are procrastinating nothing less. If it is a goal on your list it is a vital part of your major overall goal, and when achieved it will take you to the next stage of your main goal, the one that gives you motivation.

The second reason you procrastinate is the BELIEF you have in achieving the goal. This is such a large subject that requires discussion in another article.

It’s just too easy to put off something that doesn’t have a lot of appeal even if you were to achieve it.

BIG goals drive you to do things you would never do for major goals — in many ways they almost pull you through the obstacles you are likely to meet on the way to achieving them.

Because with big goals you plan and also want to achieve them so much they become part of your being. For example say your major goal is to move to a four-bedroom house in a better part of town. A minor goal you may set is a new suite of furniture for your new house. Compared to your main goal it is easy to dismiss the minor goal as insignificant - yet let look at it a different way.

Achieving the goal of the new suite of furniture, having it in your home now and sitting on it helps to bring your major goal into sharper focus. Just sit there and imagine it as if you were in your new house and you are enjoying the confort of the new suite, suddenly it will become an integral part of your overall goal.

What is one of the main secrets of high goal achievers? First they write their goals down. I’ll bet you have never heard that before???? But have you done it??? The fact is that writing goals down is so powerful it increases your chance of success by at least 1000%.

Their second secret is that their goals are always BIG. There’s no power at all in small goals. When the goal isn’t big enough, it’s too easy to give in to the obstacles that appear in your life. It’s very difficult to maintain the persistence that all great achievement requires when the goal is small and ordinary.

How big is BIG? If it doesn’t make you a little nervous, you know that feeling in the pit of your stomach; if it doesn’t take your breath away the first time you think about it, it probably isn’t big enough. These physical symptoms are the result of a chemical change in your body caused by your thoughts. When your goal is big enough that the thought of it causes your body to undergo physical changes then you are on the right path. Even more when the thought of MISSING the goal causes a feeling a nausea in the pit of your stomach you are pitching it just right.

Set yourself time to sit down on your own and with pad and pencil ask yourself what do you want in every part of your life for the next 12 months to 5 years. No matter what you think of just write it down without questioning your ability to achieve it, that is the subject of another article.
