The question of free web hosting working for you is one that depends entirely on what use you want for your website. If you are new and just starting out in the Internet world, you’ll need to realize that there are many factors that play into choosing a web hosting service for your Internet site. Take the time to consider seriously these issues, and know that you’ll need to be fully prepared to step up to a paid web hosting service, or save your dollars for one that will be fully capable to meet your needs. Free web hosting services might be able to work with your intentions of having one, such as for a personal web page, or a small business website. You’ll need to think of the aesthetics and the fact that visitors to your site might be distracted and click on another web site, leaving you without a sell. In the Internet world of business, you only have a few seconds to capture your potential client’s attention, so please consider if you want these distractions on your site. Also, if you have an e-commerce site you’ll need to think too that you’ll not be able to add banner links to other popular sites, which will link you in popularity on the Internet, so others can visit you much more easily.
Issues such as network up time is important too, especially if you’re want an e-commerce website. In the past, free web hosting sites took a beating from customers on how often their site would be up and accessible to the Internet community. Today, there are still problems with some web hosting service providers, but it has improved. However in truth, nothing compares to a paid hosting company, and their ability to remain online with their servers running at fully capacity. If every time someone goes to your www address, and the web site is experiencing technical difficulties, you’ll loose clients by the bucket loads. Free web hosting companies are selling the space and bandwidth that they have left over, and often times their non-paying customers is not top priority.

It’s not that free web hosting services are bad; it’s just that they need to be used with the proper role in mind.
