MySpace is an online community focused on helping individuals to make new friends or reconnect with old friends. With this type of goal in mind it is not surprising that the vast majority of MySpace members use the community to make connections with other members. This may include staying in touch with old friends and family members, reconnecting with lost friends, making business connections or even meeting romantic partners. This article will discuss how all of these opportunities are available on the MySpace community.

Keeping in Touch with Friends and Family

MySpace can be an excellent way for friends and family members to stay in touch. Encouraging friends and family members to join MySpace with you can help you to stay in better contact with these individuals. Communicating through MySpace is a lot of fun and gives users the ability to post pictures, audio files and video files in addition to personal information presented in a blog. Members can leave comments for each other or just stay in touch by reading each others websites and posting personal information on their own websites for others to read.

Reconnecting with Lost Friends

Overtime we all lose contact with some of our old friends. Whether this is a trusted friend who was with you through the trying times in high school, a companion who helped you make it through college or even an acquaintance you met in passing at a bus stop MySpace can help you to reconnect to these old friends.

One passive way to reconnect with lost friends is to simply create your own MySpace website and wait for these lost friends to contact you. This may not always happen but it is possible. MySpace is an extensive community with members all around the world and it is very possible your old friend may see you on MySpace and contact you. Also, if you create a blog entry expressing an interest in reconnecting with an individual, your blog may be seen by someone who knows your lost friend and passes along the message.

Another way to find lost friends on MySpace is to use the search feature. The simplest way to search for someone is by using their full name. However, not all members post their full name. Other methods of finding an individual include entering their nickname into the search feature or entering keywords related to their favorite hobbies, books, movies or entertainers. This method may require a great deal of research and may be quite time consuming but it can help you find your lost friend if they have a website on MySpace.

Making Business Connections

MySpace can also be used to make business connections. The search feature can be used to find others who share your business interests, dreams and goals. Once you find these individuals you can engage them in conversation by sending an email or instant message or by leaving a comment on their website. These connections may lead to potential business relationships but they may also simply be networking opportunities which allow those interested in certain business aspects to converse with others who share this interest.

Meeting Romantic Partners

Finally, a large portion of those who are using MySpace are hoping to make a romantic connection. MySpace is an online community which enables users to post photos and information about themselves for other members of the community to view. This effectively makes MySpace very similar to a dating service. There is also a space for users to enter information regarding whether or not they are single or looking for a romantic interest.

Those who are looking for romance can spend time searching for others who they find physically attractive, share their interests and are also seeking romantic companionship. These MySpace members can contact each other through emails, instant messages or through comments left for each other on the websites. A courting relationship online can progress to an offline relationship or can remain online depending on the wants and intentions of the partners.

Using Craigslist to Network

Networking is an important part of any business and Craigslist offers individuals a variety of networking opportunities. Whether you have an established business and are looking to advertise, you are looking to learn more about a particular business or you just want to meet individuals who share a particular interest, Craigslist can be an excellent resource. Craigslist offers all of these opportunities and more to those who are interested in starting to network or expanding their networking capabilities.

Using Craigslist to Organize Offline Networking Opportunities

Organizing offline networking opportunities is just one of the many ways in which individuals can use Craigslist for networking purposes. One example of when this type of opportunity may be worthwhile is for a situation where a businessperson is in the line of direct sales. Often these direct sales opportunities involve the individual hosting parties where others can sample and learn more about the products offered. These types of parties can be very lucrative for a skilled salesperson that has a passion for the products they are selling.

Examples of the types of businesses which benefit from sales parties include direct sales opportunities including cosmetics, toys, pet products, romance items, nutritional supplements and other products. Whether the products are so wonderful they literally sell themselves or they require a skilled salesperson to convince the audience of their worth, the most important part of direct sales is networking. This is where Craigslist can really help. Those who are interested in organizing sales parties can take advantage of the large number of community members reached by Craigslist to find new potential clients. Placing an advertisement in an appropriate section on Craigslist gives the salesperson the ability to reach a large target audience.

The one major caveat to using Craigslist to organize offline networking opportunities is care should be taken to ensure the safety of all of those involved. When setting up offline meetings, sales parties or other networking opportunities it is wise to arrange for these meetings to take place in a busy public place. This will help to deter the possibility of a potentially dangerous situation. It will also help to put potential clients more at ease and make them more likely to participate in your networking opportunity.

Using Craigslist to Organize Online Networking Opportunities

Craigslist can also be used to organize online networking opportunities. Examples of the ways in which Craigslist can be used to organize online network include the following:

* Directing traffic to a website
* Directing traffic to a message board
* Soliciting participation in an e-newsletter

Those who sell a product or service through an ecommerce website may be interested in using Craigslist to advertise their web address. An advertisement which is placed in an appropriate location on Craigslist can have the effect of reaching a very large audience. The appropriateness of the location on the advertisement depends on a number of factors. In general an appropriate location is anywhere on Craigslist where the advertisement is likely to be viewed by a large amount of members of the target audience.

Those who are interested in organizing online networking opportunities for likeminded individuals to share ideas can also use Craigslist to accomplish their goal. Placing an advertisement on Craigslist which directs traffic to a message board can help to create a thriving community. Again it is important to place this advertisement in a location where the target audience will be reached.

Finally, those who publish a regular e-newsletter can also use Craigslist to increase their number of subscribers. Whether the e-newsletter is published daily, weekly, monthly or according to some other schedule Craigslist can be used to solicit email addresses from those who might be interested in receiving these newsletters.

Using Craigslist to Find Networking Opportunities

Craigslist is not only useful in situations where individuals are seeking to organize networking opportunities. It can also be helpful for individuals who are looking to join pre-existing networking opportunities. These individuals would benefit from following links pointing to websites or message boards placed in advertisements throughout the community.

Blog marketing is something that most everyone is doing that owns a blog. You are going to find that many of them are blogging for money, and many are not. The numbers really vary and depend on what you are looking at. If you are wanting a home business that consists of blog marketing, then you would be blogging for money. However, if you just have a blog that you use to write your thoughts and journal more or less, you are probably not blogging for money. Everyone blogs for a different reason.

Blog marketing to make money means that you are simply blogging for a profit. If you are going to make an amount of money that will add up to become anything, you need to be persistent, and consistent. To do so there are some things as well as techniques and tools that you must know and know how to use. Keep reading for more.

While good content is something that you will need for your blog to make money, you also want to ensure that it is original content as well. You can market a blog with something that is copied and that you do not own the rights. Plagiarism will get you in trouble with Google as well as the person that originally wrote the content. Be sure that all of your posts are ones that only you own the rights too. This is a great thing to know and do when you are marketing your blog to make money. Content is the key to successful marketing lately.

Tracking is another part of blog marketing for money that is so very important. You want to be able to track your visitors and clickers to know where they are coming from. You want to be able to tell what keywords they searched on to find your blog and where they did their searching. Doing so will help take out all of the guess work when it comes to blog marketing and making money while blogging. You will want to know what keywords are working, and which are not. So that you will know which keywords to use more of and which ones to drop.

Another thing that is important when you are blog marketing for money is to find other sites and blogs that are in the same market as yours, but not in direct competition with you to exchange links with. This will help you out a lot as well, especially if you can get some good exchanges with high authority sites. The higher the page rank of your link exchange, the better for your blog. Google and the other search engines will recognize your link exchanges, and the more the better in this case.

Blog marketing for money can be done. You just simply have to know what works and what does not. It is truly a trial and error basis. If you think you might know of a new way to market your blog the most effectively, try it! You just never know if it will work for you until you do. Then if you find something that works and works well, consider making it in to an ebook and marketing that as well. You will have the know how, it is just a matter of using it.

Search Engine Optimization Basics

Search Engine Optimization and SEO No Comments »

What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

Search engine optimization (SEO) is a collection of techniques that can be applied to a website to increase the search engine ranking of the site. Search engine ranking is the position that your site occupies when a search is done using keywords you are targeting on your site.

Why is search engine ranking important?
The higher your site’s position in the search engine results pages (SERPs) the more people will see it and potentially click on your listing, bringing you more traffic. Google, one of the most popular search engines, list 10 search results per page. Most searchers never look beyond the first page of search results. SEO is important because if you can get your site listed in the Google top ten for your search terms you will get significantly more traffic than if your listing shows up on any subsequent pages.

SEO techniques fall under two broad categories, on-page factors and off-page factors.

On Page SEO
On page factors are all the things you can do on your website to increase SEO. The on page factors usually revolve around keywords, and you use these techniques to let the search engines know what you site is about. On page factors include things like the use of keyword and description meta tags, the use of the alt tag for images, HTML header tags, keyword placement, etc.

Off Page SEO
Off page factors revolve around backlinks, but also involve the use of keywords. Backlinks are the links placed on other sites that point to you site. Backlinks are also known as “inbound links”, a term which is often easier to understand. Inbound links are those links pointing towards your site.

Steps You Can Take To Improve Your SEO
1. Always use keyword and description meta tags.
For every page on your site you should have meta tags unique to that page. Meta tags are HTML code found between the tags near the top of the page when you are looking at the HTML code. There’s a good reference for using meta tags here: http://www.freelancedesigners.com/tools/meta_tags.cfm

For the keywords meta tag create a comma-separated list of keywords relevant to your site. Keywords don’t have to be single words. They can, and should, be keyword phrases relevant to the content of that page.

For the description meta tag write a description of your site that would make someone want to click your link. This meta tag’s description is used by some search engines, including Google, as the text description of your site. So it’s not just for the search engine’s benefit, it’s also likely to be seen by a human and it may be the difference between that human clicking on your site’s link or another site.

2. Where you have images on your site, always include an alt tag.
The HTML code for including an image in your page has an optional attribute called the ‘alt’ tag. It’s short for ‘alternative text’. It was originally intended as a text description to aid viewers surfing with images turned off or using a screen reader so they could get an idea of what an image was about, since they couldn’t see it. But search engines also use the alt tag to find out more about what your page is about.

You want the alt tag to contain keywords relevant to your site and the image they are describing. Instead of just putting “header” in the alt tag for your header image, use the opportunity to tell the search engines what your site is about, with something like “Puppy Training Header”, if your site is about puppy training. Don’t over do it though, you want this description to be concise rather than stuffed with every keyword relevant to your site. Here’s a good reference for learning more about image tags: http://www.htmlgoodies.com/primers/html/article.php/3478181

3. Use header tags wisely.
The header tags H1, H2, H3 etc. are used by search engines to figure out what the important keywords for your site are. You can easily change the appearance of the header tags by using stylesheets, so try to use the standard HTML header tags instead of custom styles for your headers. Then just make sure you’ve got relevant keywords in the headers. The H1 header should contain the primary keyword for your page, the H2 header should contain the secondary keywords for your page, etc.

4. Get backlinks with relevant keywords.
Get backlinks. Lots of them. This should be an ongoing part of your SEO. The more backlinks the better, but you want to grow your backlinks naturally. It looks a lot more natural if you work on getting a handful of backlinks every week than if you suddenly got 10,000 backlinks overnight because you bought them from a link farm. The search engines are watching for these unnatural patterns, and you are likely to be penalized for engaging in such practices.

There are many ways to get backlinks. You can develop relationships with other webmasters to get traditional reciprocal links from other related sites. Participate in forums related to your topic and be sure to have a link to your site as part of your ‘signature’. Write articles for article directories which include a link back to your site in the ‘bio box’. Create Squidoo lenses or HubPages with, you guessed it, a link back to your site. If you have a blog submit your RSS feed to RSS Aggregator sites, and add it to your Squidoo lens or HubPage. Use Social Bookmarking services to bookmark your pages and encourage your visitors to do the same. Use Twitter to send out a ‘tweet’ when you post a new article. This is just to get you started, it’s not an exhaustive list by any means.

Now that you have some ideas for where to get backlinks, it’s important that you choose good anchor text for your backlinks when you can. The anchor text is the text that turns into the hyperlink (it’s often blue, sometimes underlined). The search engines also use this text to figure out what your site, or page, is about. So where you can, specify what the anchor text will be. You want to use your main keywords, and variations on your main keywords. Try to vary it a little (that looks natural), while still keeping it relevant of course. Keep in mind that the keywords you use when you are linking to a specific page are not necessarily going to be the same as when you are linking to your homepage.

In some cases you don’t have the option of specifying the anchor text. But don’t miss the opportunity to specify it where you can. If you trade reciprocal links with another site, specify what you want your anchor text to be. The other webmaster will probably appreciate it because it saves them time having to decide what it should be. When you create Squidoo lenses and HubPages, or for your forum signatures you have total control over your anchor text. Use it wisely.

We’ve covered just a few basic, but very important, aspects of SEO in this article. This is a very good place to start if you want to improve your sites search engine optimization. Keep applying these techniques until it becomes second nature and you should see an improvement in both your search engine rankings and an increase in the traffic to your site.

Guru Tactics and What They Really Mean

If you are into internet marketing, you would have heard of the term ‘guru’ and probably know who they are. Now, most gurus are really nice people. Some aren’t, though. But even the good ones do these following things. If you know what they are, you will have a more realistic perspective of the offers gurus make to you.

Have you read lines like, “You can work only 2-3 hours a day…” in a sales letter? Actually, if you work only 2-3 hours a day right from the start of your internet marketing career, you won’t make much money. If you intend to make internet marketing merely a hobby, then 3 hours a day is fine. But if you’re serious about making it a career, 2-3 hours a day is a fallacy, at least at the beginning.

The problem is most gurus show you only the final result. They have the luxury of working so few hours a day because they have a support team doing the technical work, answering emails, manning their support desk, web-mastering and a host of other tedious tasks for them. But when they first started out, they worked their tails off, putting in hours and hours of work trying to understand and implement it all.

That’s the first guru tactic you must be aware of. They usually only show you the final result but don’t tell you how they got there. Here’s the second tactic.

Gurus, more often than not, leave out crucial parts of the puzzle. Every guru will tell you to write articles that link back to your website. So you find a bunch of articles from the Web, edit them and submit them to an article directory. After a week or so, you check your stats. A paltry 30 or 40 views. You wait another few days. The count increases to about 70 views. So few! You decide to write your own articles. “Original content will definitely do better,” is what you think. After a week you check your stats. This time, it’s about 50 views. What’s wrong? You thought article marketing was the panacea to all the ills of traffic generation. You look at the gurus and their articles (which are worse than yours) get thousands of views within a couple of weeks.

The thing is the gurus never told you the most crucial part about article marketing. Here it is…

Your articles must be keyword-laden, especially long-tail keyword-laden. THAT’S how you get lots of page views. Do you find gurus teaching you that in their coaching courses? Very few do.

Here’s the final guru tactic. They tell you half-truths. If you’ve come across claims like, “I made $68,495.57 in my first month in internet marketing…”, welcome to the club. Is such a statement true? Yes, it is. Is that all there is to it? Not on your life. The full truth is, “I made $68,495.57 in my first month in internet marketing…but I spent $5,892.97 in advertising, software, a coaching course, reports, recurring expenses etc.” Is spending $5,892.97 to earn $68,495.57 good R.O.I.? Of course, but what if you don’t have $5,892.97 to spend in one month when you’re first starting out?

Many gurus’ coaching courses contain hidden costs which they don’t reveal in their sales letters. Well, unless you’ve got very deep pockets, you can’t keep up with the spending while you wait for your income to increase.

These are some of the tactics gurus use to get a response from you. Now that you know what they really mean, you have the correct perspective of what they are saying. Then you can respond more intelligently to what the gurus offer you.

Create a RSS Feed – More Free Traffic to Your Static Web Pages

Web Traffic Tips No Comments »
AddThis Social Bookmark Button

Most sites on the web were built before the invasion of the wordpress blogging platform was in general use. Using a html editor created functional and beautiful sites. However they do not provide for the ease of traffic generation that a wordpress blogging platform provides.

The wordpress platform allows for more social traffic in many ways. Three of which are:
1) The use of automatic pinging when new posts are made to the blog.
2) Provides a continuously updated rss feed for visitors to add to their favorite feed readers such as Google, Yahoo and Bloglines, inviting returning visitor traffic.
3) Automatic updating of the rss (really simple syndication) feeds that can be submitted to rss feed directories.

Meanwhile, sites created with html editors, static page sites or adsense template sites, have become the poor cousin to the blogging sites when it comes to traffic generation.

It is not that these sites cannot achieve the traffic generating results of the wordpress blogging platform. They can, but it will require more knowledge and more work to achieve the same result. For example, how do you acquire rss traffic when a static or adsense template site cannot generate a rss feed automatically? Simple answer, create a rss feed manually.

It may sound like a daunting task, at first, but keep reading. Its as simple as basic html, with the use of open and close tags.

Basic html code:

XXhtmlXY
XXheadXY
XXtitleXYINSERT TITLE HEREXX/titleXY
XX/headXY
XXbodyXYINSERT BODY CONTENT HEREXX/bodyXY
XX/htmlXY

Go to any blog, click on the rss icon and take a look at the rss feed structure. It should look like this:

XXrss version=”0.91″XY
-
XXchannelXY
XXtitleXYINSERT RSS FEED TITLE HEREXX/titleXY
XXlinkXYhttp://www.YOURSITEURLHEREXX/linkXY
XXdescriptionXYINSERT RSS FEED DESCRIPTION HEREXX/descriptionXY
XXlanguageXYen-usXX/languageXY
-
XXitemXY
XXtitleXYINSERT ITEM TITLE HEREXX/titleXY
XXlinkXYhttp://www.YOURSITEURLHEREXX/link>XY
XXdescriptionXYINSERT ITEM DESCRIPTION HEREXX/descriptionXY
XX/itemXY
XX/channelXY
XX/rssXY

If you would prefer a little automation then Internet.com has a great free tool, just search for ‘channel editor” on their site or go to:
http://www.webreference.com/cgi-bin/perl/rssedit.pl. This tool will generate the out put you need.

Creating a rss feed is simple and easy once you understand the structure. Now you can see the potential for your static and adsense template websites. Copy the above code or what you automatically generated into notepad and save as whatever name you would like for your feed page name. Upload this text file to your site folder and rename the .txt extension to .rss.

That is all. You now have a rss feed for your static site. In part 2 of this article, you will learn what comes next and what you need to do with the rss feed you just created to drive more traffic to your static web pages and adsense template sites using rss feeds.

Directory Submission – Why Should You Use It?

Choosing an efficient and economical method of advertising or service no longer is difficult. Just prepare articles for directory submission and increase your visibility on the internet.

Directory submission, or the placing of various articles related to your business or website on article directory sites is an easy and effective way of getting your web site noticed, thus increasing the traffic flow to your business site and bringing a steady flow of customers who are purchasing your product or service. Furthermore, there is no cost for this plan unless you are paying for the writing of the articles themselves.

Search Engine Spider Magnet

Search engine spiders are those tools that look for keywords and links on the internet. They are the process of collecting and identifying on the individual websites that help those searching the internet for a specific term to be able to know the web page where the term is located. By directory submission, you can add many keyword rich articles that are then linked to your website through the description and especially through the resource information. The major search engines each have ways of tracking and quantifying the value of the keywords you use as well as the links to your site. Visitors to your site strengthen the importance of your web site, thus bringing even more visitors and by extension – customers for your product or service.

Web Site Index

Indexing your web site is a process of ranking it or listing it so that it is noticed by the search engines. Directory submission makes it possible to speed up the indexing process and once indexed, to improve the rankings in the indexes. Each search engine have different algorithms to measure the level at which the web page meets the defined standards for quality. You can improve your chances of an effective index for your web site by using a service that specialize in preparing and submitting articles to various directories.

Economics

Sites where directory submission is available are either free to use or can require payment of a fee to post your articles. Depending upon your budget, you can use either type of directory website effectively. It may seem obvious that using the site where there is no fee for articles inclusion would be the best deal for you. After all, free is a pretty good price. However, you may find that paying a fee to get your articles posted may actually be a more sensible financial decision, because web sites that require a submission fee often have a higher page ranking from the search engines and thus end up higher on the search engine results page (SERP). This means that your articles will also end up higher on the search results when someone submits a query that uses keywords you have included in your article.

Beating the competition

If you have been concerned about the fact that your competitors seems to be doing better than you in pulling customers into their websites or selling their products or services, using directory submission is a way to get one up on the competition. Revamping your web site helps ensure that you are presenting an image of your business that will attract customers to your site. Presenting information to articles directories is also going to help get you noticed on the internet.

Benefits of Building A Blog Opt-In List

Blogging, Opt-in List No Comments »
AddThis Social Bookmark Button

Well for starters, it is FREE to have a blog. But why you have to choose to build a blog? Not a normal website. Let’s read why. A blog is basically your own website that you can use for whatever purpose you like. To talk about current events or your favorite topics, or you can use it to market and promote stuff.

You may have heard that sometimes Internet marketers call it niche marketing. It is all the same. More recently, people have been realizing the benefits of using their blogs to create an opt-in list. The money truly is in the list! From a general quality list, you should be able to gain ROI as high as 1000% or more. And the ROI will continue increasing because when you have a better relationship with your list, you will be able to gain more.

All you have to do is set up your blog to have an email address form on it. Then, you write a short, informative report on the topic of your niche and offer it to your readers for FREE in exchange for their email address.

Simple, but it is so effective. Your readers (and future customers for life!) will type in their first name and email address into your auto-responder form (look up auto-responder if you are not familiar with what it is) in order to download your free report. You’ll harvest their email addresses, you have begun building your blog opt-in list!

Now you have so many opportunities to make money with your list once you have built a responsive one. Remember, your list does NOT have to be huge in order to make you a recurring income that you can live very comfortably off of…it is all about the relationship you create/build with your list and the quality of the material that you give them (and also sell them).

An opt-in list is a vital and valuable asset for any business, especially online ones. A blog is just a great tool for you to use to build your list. It’s free, it gets picked up easily by the search engines, it’s a widely used platform that you can find additional functionality easily and it looks professional! To be able to build a list for FREE that can earn you literally millions of dollars and is quite an incredible phenomenon and we should all be grateful for this great opportunity.

Looking For Fresh Blog Content?

When you first start your blog, you have so much to say that you have no problem posting every day. After a while, you begin to run out of ideas and you can’t seem to come up with fresh content. Every blogger has this problem from time to time. So how do you keep the blog going – keep it fresh and full of value? Here are some ideas:

Do a top 10 list – “The top 10 mistakes people do when trying _______ for the first time.” “The top 10 tips for ______.” Lists tend to be easier to write and take less time to formulate. If you can’t come up with 10, perhaps you can make it the top 3 or top 5.

Interview an expert – Approach someone who is very knowledgeable in your blog niche and you may find they’ll be happy to do an interview, especially if they have a new product just launched and would like the exposure. Put together some thoughtful questions and ask them to write out their answers. The beauty of this blog post is that aside from asking the questions, the interviewee does all the work!

Answer a recurring question/problem – Go to the forums you frequent in your niche and look for a recurring question that people have. Doing a little research and coming up with answers makes for an excellent blog post. You also can become the expert.

Blog about other blog posts – Have you read a blog post recently that caused you to stop and think, or offered up a huge glittering gem of priceless information? Blog your opinions, insights, and inspiration you’ve gotten from that person’s post. Be sure to provide a link back so your readers can read the original post.

Use the weather – Look around you at the season and tie it into your niche. Does the hot weather inspire you to share a story on your internet marketing blog about going fishing while your internet marketing business is still making you money? Does the 4 feet of snow outside make you think about reading your favorite books? If so, you can do a niche-related book review with your Amazon or other affiliate links attached.

What’s up in your business world – Blog about what you’re working on now. Using a personal tone, explain what your current project is. Letting a few tidbits escape builds anticipation and helps your readers feel like they’re now on the “inside”.

These are just a few blogging ideas to help get you back on track providing real thoughtful and informative value to your readers.

Is Any Traffic Besides Search Engines Any Good

Web Traffic Tips No Comments »
AddThis Social Bookmark Button

What is the best traffic on the internet today? Would you believe that traffic from search engines is still very good, but it is not the only game in town anymore.

I have to tell you that for the longest time all I did was target search engine traffic. I got to where I was pretty good at search engine optimization.

I’m sure there are search engine marketing experts who would like you to think it is real hard and all of that. It isn’t, but I am happy to say you can find a mix of traffic that does not totally rely upon what the search engines do and that is a good thing.

First of all blogging can be a great way to get traffic, but when you blog you must social bookmark your post to the top directories. Those would be:

1. Digg
2. Stumbleupon
3. Propeller
4. Onlywire.com which will get you into 22 directories with one click.

You can get great traffic from blogging if you do it right and you do it often.

Read The Authority Black Book which you can download for free by Google searching for it. This will get you in tune on how to use blogging to drive very good quality traffic and high numbers of it everyday to your blog.

Article marketing is proving to be a great way to get traffic. I know I used to do article marketing as search engine bait. I worried about duplicate content penalties and where I should submit and if I should put the article on my website or blog and so on.

Today if you are smart you write for traffic and get your articles into the handful of best article directories. Then you spend your time writing more and repeating.

The top 5 article directories would be:

1. Ezinearticles.com
2. AssociatedContent.com
3. SearchWarp.com
4. Goarticles.com
5. IdeaMarketers.com

I’m sure you are starting to see a theme here and that theme is writing articles for traffic. Traffic from your social bookmarking directories and traffic from article directories.

Search engines know their job is to provide fresh content and relevant content for their searchers. You can do the same thing for your visitors and not worry about the search engines anymore.

It is a very liberating feeling to know you are getting traffic everyday even if Google did totally rearrange all of the top ranked sites over night because you are not affected by it.
