What is it that separates people who are successful from those who
are not? Is it hard work? Is it education? Or is it luck? Certainly
all these factors – and many more- play a role in determining if
you are successful or not. But there is one factor that seems to
stand above all the other factors, and that is a belief in and the
want to succeed.

If you think about it, what every successful person has in common
is that they have a firm belief in themselves and a belief that
they will accomplish what they want to accomplish. There is not one
successful person who didn’t believe deep-down in their heart and
soul, that they could be successful.

I know what your thinking, how can it possibly be that easy? How
can just believing that you’ll be successful lead to actual
success? Well, it’s much easier said than done. But that doesn’t
mean it isn’t true.

Obviously there’s more to it then just believing you will be
successful. In fact, there are many people in the world who think
they’ll be successful but they don’t actually do anything about it.
They just somehow believe they’ll magically “make it”. But these
people are dreamers. And they don’t really want to succeed. If they
did, they’d do more than just dream.

If you truly believe you have what it takes to succeed, and you
truly want to succeed, then you will succeed. Why? Because you’ll
keep working until you actually make it. And you won’t mind doing
whatever it takes, you won’t mind working very hard, because you’ll
know it’ll all be well worth the effort. You’ll know you’re going
to succeed.

This is why there are so many people in this world who are wildly
successful without taking the conventional paths to success. There
are many people who quit college. There are many people who went
against what everyone told them and did things the way they wanted
to do them.

But you know what? These people probably would’ve succeeded even if
they did finish college and even if they did what other people
wanted them to do. This is because these people had a solid belief
that they would succeed and they really wanted to succeed.

So what can you learn from all of this?

Well, the main lesson you can learn is that the path you take isn’t
nearly as important as your will. This should be a great comfort to
you.

What this means is that you can take many different paths and still
reach your goals. You can make mistake and still achieve success.
You don’t need to do everything perfectly in order to make it. As
long as you keep your belief in yourself and what you’re doing, and
as long as you really want to succeed then you will succeed.

So, always remember that your mind can be your best friend or your
worst enemy. If you don’t believe you will succeed, then you won’t.
But if you believe you can succeed – and you’re willing to do what
it takes to do so – then you will achieve your goals and you will

So it’s your dream to learn how to make a living online so you can
quit your job and say goodbye to your boss and your 9-5 job. But
before you can actually make that giant leap you need to make sure
you’re ready. So that leads you to ask the question: When will I be
ready to leave the comfort of my regular paycheck and my regular
(ie guaranteed) working hours.

You know that it’s exciting to be able to make a living online.
It’s great to be able to set your own hours and to be able to be
your own boss. But there’s also a downside to leaving your 9-5 job
and making a go of it on your own.

It is scary to know that you’re guaranteed that you will make a
specific amount of money every week or every two weeks. It’s also
scary to think that there’s a possibility that you’ll leave your
current job and you simply won’t be able to do it – you won’t be
able to make it on your own, online. It is scary.

Because of how scary it is, and because the fear is real, many
people give the advice that you have to be absolutely ready to
leave your 9-5 job. You have to already have a proven method of
making money. You also have to have a “safety net” of at least 6
months of salary saved up. In addition, you should have all your
debt paid down too. With the six months of savings and with no
debt, you have plenty of time to fail and still be okay.

That sounds like a safe plan, right? It’s good that you’ll be able
to afford to fail. It’s good that you’ll basically be planning to
fail.

Or is it?

Think about it. Is it good or bad to plan to fail? This one’s a
no-brainer. It’s bad to plan to fail. Of course it is.

So why then would you want to plan to fail when you’re about leave
your job? Why would you want to say your “ready” when all you’ve
done is set things up so that you can fail?

For this reason, there are a growing number of people out there who
say that you shouldn’t have a “safety net” ready when you leave
your job. These people will tell you to go ahead and jump and your
net will appear.

The thinking behind this line of logic is if you can’t afford to
fail then you will find a way not to fail. In other words, you’ll
find a way to be successful. On the other hand, if you have that
safety net there, if you have a cushion to allow for failure, then
you will use that net; you will use that cushion. If you want to
start actually making it online from the outset then you better
make yourself succeed from the outset.

Of course when you are ready to take that leap is ultimately up to
you. You do need to have a proven way of making money, no one
disputes that. But whether you need to have a safety net or not is
something that not everyone agrees about. Whichever scenario you’re
more comfortable with, whichever way makes more sense to you, is
the way you should use to decide when you’re ready to quit your 9-5
job.

After you leave your job, one thing you’ll need to considered is
your taxes. Although you can save a lot of money in taxes having
your own business, you have to do it the right way!

work on them? Once you know these things then you just need to
focus on each task when you’re supposed to be doing it. In other
words, don’t worry about anything else except what you’ve planned
to focus on.

You want to be able to focus on each project and you also want to
keep track of how long each project takes you to complete. Then you
need to keep track of how much money you make from each project.
That way you can tell how productive you’re being. You can even
chart exactly how much money you’re making each hour and each day.
This way you’ll be able to focus on the projects that are most
profitable for you.

When you go into business for yourself, you can quickly lose
yourself in the avalanche of everyday tasks and your long-term
goals. That’s why it’s so important to focus on exactly what you
want to do.

Becoming focused and staying that way will help you know exactly
what needs to be done each day so that you are productive each day.
Focus will also help you complete your long-term goals faster and
focus will allow you to know how much money you are making per day,

The short answer to this question is…yes. However, few things in life are so cut and dry. Joint venture partnerships can be entered into with anyone. It can be with your neighbor next door who has an affiliate business, or with a person you’ve only read about who lives in another country. Due to the variety of joint venture partnership possibilities a legal agreement many not always be needed.

Here are a few pros and cons to signing a JV partnership legal agreement.

Pros:

-Everything is spelled out. A joint venture partnership legal agreement will leave no room for interpretation, miscommunication, errors or frustration. Absolutely everything from who handles what task, to how profits are tracked, to how each partner gets paid can be detailed explicitly. This means there will be no questions halfway through the project about who handles the next step or what profit percentages were originally agreed to.

-Less stress. When everything is clearly detailed and written down, it can take the stress off of the relationship and allow the partners to work together more amicably, and to be more productive. This can be particularly important when you’re working with someone for the first time or you have concerns about the partnership.

-Checks and balances are outlined. A legal agreement makes it possible for checks and balances to be put into place and to be followed through on. For example, if one partner is handling the marketing of a joint venture product and the payment of the profits, the other partner should have a system that enables them to keep track of the sales. That way there is no uncertainty about whether each partner is getting paid fairly.

-Payments are defined. People tend to get caught up in the money. A legal agreement will define who gets paid what, when and how, so that there is no uncertainty, resentment or questions.

- In the event of a disagreement, a legal agreement gives you recourse.

Cons:

-Trust. A legal agreement can start things off on the right foot, but in some circumstances it can start things off on the wrong foot. It can create a sense of mistrust.

-Not always necessary. A legal agreement isn’t always necessary. If you’re working with someone whom you are comfortable with, whom you have worked with before, or whom you’re friends with, then a legal agreement may not be necessary. It is fine to simply write down what each person will take care of and how you’ll split the profits and go from there.

Creating links from your site to other sites related to yours is a very important tactic for you to improve your search engine position and increase your site’s visibility. This article gives you four ways to do that as well as how to check your site’s link popularity.

Basically there are two types of links to consider. One type of link is an inbound link, or backlink, which is simply a link from another site pointing to your site. All backlinks are good. It doesn’t matter if the content of the other site is similar or related to yours.

The other type of link involves a reciprocal link which means that your site and the other site have exchanged links which point to the other’s site. Good reciprocal links should be from sites which have similar related content. The search engines may penalize you if you accept links that are not from sites with related content.

Here are four ways to located related sites with which you may want to exchange reciprocal links.

1) USE SEARCH ENGINES:

Do a simple search in any of the major search engines for keywords and terms which relate to your website and its content.

When you have located appropriate sites and reviewed them, send the webmaster an invitation message which you should have already created and saved in a drafts folder.

Your success with this method depends a lot on how you approach the selected websites. If possible, your message should be personalized with the webmaster’s name and the link information to their site which you have already posted on your site.

Of course you will also want to include your linking information for your site for them to post a reciprocal link to your site.

2) LOCATE COMPETITOR’S LINKS:

Discover who your competitors are on line and make some visits to their sites to determine who they are linking to. Review those links on their sites and make contact with them about reciprocal links to your site.

They are more likely to reciprocate with a link to your site since you have related content to them and a site with which they are already linked.

To locate your competition, just do a search on one of the major search engines using the keywords for your site.

3) BUILD RELATIONSHIPS:

Building relationships with other sites which are similar to yours in content can be an effective way to build some good, solid, effective links.

Get acquainted with the webmaster by subscribing to their newsletter and contributing articles to it. Send them ideas, suggestions and comments about their site. Offer testimonials for the products or services they offer. Provide a link on your site to theirs and ask for a reciprocal link. These are just a few ways to become a trusted ally and almost always get a reciprocal link.

While it is not the quickest or most efficient way to get links, it may be the most certain way to end with great, relevant links to other sites.

4) THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE & SERVICES:

There are some very helpful services and software available for locating linking partners. It is not the aim of this article to recommend any of these, but rather point out that it is an option for you to consider.

Alexa offers a free enhanced toolbar which you can add to your browser. It’s most important feature is the ability to estimate how much traffic any given site receives. This can be valuable when determining which sites to approach about reciprocal links.
