Prospecting for Leads

If your MLM business relies on cold calls, referrals, instant messenger communications, and e-mails you already know the importance of properly qualifying prospects. You need to learn about your prospect and their needs and then figure out how your product meets those needs. That means you need a qualified prospect.

What’s a qualified prospect and where on earth do you find them. A qualified prospect is a person (or business) who needs or wants your product because it satisfies a need or solves some problem they have. How will your prospect know if what you’re offering is going to help? They’ve never heard of you or your product until you contacted them. They’ll know because you’ve done your homework before contacting them and know what will enhance their business. That’s where good solid Internet research comes in handy.

Now you start getting to know your prospect, or in other words, you start relationship marketing. Over time talking to them, you’ll get a clear picture about them and their needs, and you’ll know if you want to work with them on your Team. REMEMBER: Your products and your service and how you offer it and conduct business IS YOUR BUSINESS and you don’t want just anyone to help you build it.

Some will let you know right away they aren’t interested. Some will call you names. Some simply don’t understand how you could possibly help them, until you educate them. And here’s something you need to know and work WITH, not against. Some prospects for your Team will rule themselves out with their questions to you. For instance: How hard do I have to work to make any money? How fast can I make money? Is this an MLM scheme? You’ll know right away your business isn’t for them. Why? Because they will not work to make your business work for them or for you. And you’re not in business to lose business or customers.

Don’t waste countless hours trying to convince people to work with you. They either want to because they recognize the value of the opportunity or they don’t want to and hounding them isn’t going to make any difference.

Keyword density percentages

Some will say that 2% to 8% is the ideal density of keywords
for SEO purposes. Others claim that optimum density for Google
is specifically 2% and that anything higher will result in your
site being penalized. For Yahoo and MSN, they specify a 5%
keyword density. But is it really?

In my experience as an SEO writer, most internet marketers
require keyword seeding density at 10% or higher. Now, if
Google, which happens to be the most popular search engine in
the internet, does indeed penalize websites with keywords seeded
at more than 2%, don’t you think that it’s senseless for my
clients to ask for more than 2% seeding?

Since Google, Yahoo and MSN began incorporating relevance of
keywords to the actual content into their web crawlers, keyword
density, which was the main focus of web masters at that time,
became a secondary consideration. Unfortunately, some web
masters and internet marketers still stress keyword importance
over content relevance. For example, the words “book”, “car” and
“shopping” are most commonly used in internet searches. If you
had those words in your site, you have a guaranteed hit. This
system would work before. You could use sex as a keyword, but
your website actually contains information about rutabaga
farming.

This system of keyword importance and density lead to
misleading search results. Because of the decrease in
serviceability of search engines due to the abusers of the
system, search engine operators decided to add the value of
keyword relevance to actual content to better their service to
internet surfers. So if you are talking about rutabaga farming
and scatter the word sex all throughout your article just to
attract more traffic, the search engine will get confused
because, your keyword does not have any relevance to your
content at all. When this happens, the search engine can ignore
you, penalize you or blacklist your website from its search
index.

If you take the time to read newsletters or articles about
keywords today, you will mostly find similar emphasis on keyword
relevance. When you write an article seeded with keywords that
are relevant to your product or idea, you are doing several
things at once. Your first accomplishment is in having a greater
chance of higher search engine result rankings. Because the
search engine understands what your website is all about, it
would not hesitate to churn it out as a search result from a
user query relevant to your keywords. Second, by having relevant
keywords on your site, you get more chances of attracting the
right kind of traffic. Having more relevant website hits gives
you more chances of selling your product because your product is
exactly the reason why the users are directed to your site.

Because of the relevance of your article, your ratio of relevant
to irrelevant surfer traffic increases. Third, as a result of
highly relevant keywords and content, the users will find your
website very useful and will most likely decide to mark your
site down for another visit just to find out if they can get
something useful out of it again. Lastly, even though you will
experience a significantly reduced traffic count, you don’t
really lose anything since most searchers tend to get annoyed
when they are re-directed to a website that doesn’t contain
anything related to their search. You increase and enhance the
usefulness and reputation of your site without having to resort
to dirty, misleading tactics for traffic generation.

I cannot stress enough how important relevance of keyword
to content is. The importance of this value reflects on the
search engines need to classify websites according to their
content. If your keywords don’t match your content, your website
will be ignored by the search engine.

Build Up Your Blogs and Watch Your Adsense Cash Grow

The best thing about blogging is that there are no rules. You can write about anything you want.

A self-publisher’s dream!

There are some things you can do though to maximize your Google Adsense profits. Narrow your subject. Don’t just write about shopping. Write about shopping for antique
dresser drawer pulls. Write every day. Have a blog at more than one site. If you develop a
readership, you’re more likely to increase your profits.

Write about something you know or want to know or at the very least care about. If you try to write a great blog based on a “hot keyword” yet it’s something you could care less about, you’ll likely not stay with it long.

Experiment and see what works for you. You can write based on your own opinion or something factual. You can review a product or service or a movie. Read other people’s
blogs and notice how many reads they’re getting. Above all, have fun. After all, it’s free and if you’re persistent you’ll see your Google Adsense dollars adding up.

Choosing The Right Free Blogging Tools

There are many free blogging tools on the market, but loading up your blog with all of the free accessories that you can find isn’t necessarily a good idea. While it may be tempting to add a visitor counter, a flashy background, an exciting new font, and a cluster of quirky animated gifs to your blog, this kind of plan can easily backfire. The key to getting the most from free blog tools is being selective.

It is a great idea to learn about all of the kinds of free blogging tools that are available so
that you can make an informed decision about what to add to your blog, but try to remember that just because you can have something doesn’t mean that you need it. Practice restraint and only choose the options that you think will really be useful. If you can find out how many visitors are reading your blog by checking your traffic statistics, a visitor counter is likely to add unnecessary clutter to your page. If your blog is text-based, a flashy background can be more of a distraction than an benefit. Be realistic about assessing what kinds of blog accessories will help you realize your vision and improve your site. Remember that even a blog tool that doesn’t cost you any cash may not be an asset in the long run.

Making money on the web

Internet Marketing Articles, Make Money Online 1 Comment »

It’s true “most people don’t want to work” is a universal
truth. So, if you don’t want to work, why are you selling
yourself into slavery for relatively low pay? You might as well
get the most out of something that you dislike doing. I’ve never
seen any clerk who is happy where he/she is. They usually
complain about low salaries and too much work. If you’re getting
paid to work (something you don’t want to do) doesn’t it make
sense to aim for something higher?

There are plenty of opportunities for making money in the
internet. You can do this for something on the side, or, you can
make it your full time job. It just depends on how much time you
want to commit to earning money in a rather easy manner. As for
myself, why am I writing this article for relatively low pay?
Well the dollar has a pretty high value from where I am sitting.
If I worked in an office, I wouldn’t be earning as much I am
now.

The point is that you need to maximize your earning potential.
If you happen to be in a country like mine whose local currency
is struggling against the dollar, then doing this writing job
will earn you more than you normally would in day at the office.
As far as potential earnings in the internet is concerned, there
are plenty of avenues and opportunities to choose from.

The first opportunity with the most potential for earning big
bucks is by turning yourself into internet salespersons. Unlike
salespeople of the physical world, you don’t have to go around
the city commuting, sweating, huffing, puffing and talking your
throat sore. All you need to do is to choose a form of internet
marketing that you think you can be good at. Once you do make
your choice, exhaust all the possibilities until you get very
positive results. Nothing good comes out of something
half-baked.

A fast way to earn a commission is by affiliating yourself with
major vendor sites. You sign for their program and they will
give you instructions to set up an affiliate account. Basically,
you promote the vendor site and their products in your own
website or in articles that you write and submit to ezines. You
will need to place links into your website or ezine article that
will lead to the site or product you are promoting.

If you decide to go into affiliate marketing, you will also
need to learn how to compose search engine optimized (SEO)
articles. The web is teeming with instructions on SEO
composition. These articles will help you with search engine
results. They will contain keywords that the search engine will
identify and index according to its relevance to the searcher’s
query and your article.

Then, there are the make fast money programs which you have to
pay for before you can join. (`nuff said)

By the way, don’t be fooled by those paid to read email
advertisements. One does pay you to just read but it sends an
average of one email a day and gives out 2 cents. Other similar
programs require you to accept offers or deals from the sites
that they advertise before they give out cash.

Making good money in the internet can be easy. But if you
really want good money, I suggest you try the different
affiliate programs of major vendor sites in the internet.
Remember its good money so you will have to spend time to make
your program a success. Once you have it set-up, you can ask for
your retirement or separation pay.

Optimizing your website

Search Engine Optimization and SEO No Comments »

It is only natural that webmasters continuously crave higher
search engine rankings. After all, the closer your site is to
the first entry in the search engine results page, the more
chances you have of bringing on surfer traffic to your website.

The choice between proper website content composition and
keyword saturation is a continuing dilemma that many web masters
and internet marketers continue to mull over. Should the page of
the site be designed specifically to enhance search engine
results ratings or should the site’s pages contain proper and
relevant content with regards to its existing purpose?

To be given a high search result ranking, the website must
contain relevant information or content. This means that you
can’t just jumble keywords together in a haphazard manner. You
need to have quality content written down to describe your
website and its contents. The search engine examines your
website and all that it contains. The search engine will try to
figure out if the keywords contained in your web pages are
relevant to the user’s search parameters. For example, a user
searches for the word “bird”. The search engine finds two
websites with the word bird in it. The first website adds
descriptions and additional information about the word bird.

The second website has the word bird, but it also contains other
words like tiger, lion, zoo, seal all jumbled together in no
particular order. Armed with this information, the search engine
uses algorithms to determine which of the 2 sites has more
relevance to the user’s query. In this case, the first website
which has a descriptive article about “birds” is prioritized by
the search engine. In addition to being ranked higher by the
search engine, the user is directed to the first website and
finds exactly what he is looking for.

Already, you can see that there need not be a conflict between
search engine optimization and keyword placement.

You need to properly define your keywords in terms of
relevance. The criterion for keyword relevance is based on how
you think a searcher will write down his query. If he is looking
for a pair of shoes, will he use “size 9” or “black size 9” or
“Nike”? The best way to figure things out is to be a customer
yourself. Go to a search engine and search for a single specific
topic or product by using different words. Take note of the
search strings you use and how relevant they are to your target.

Say, you want to buy a CD of Eric Clapton so you are also
searching for a store to buy it from. Do you type in “buy Eric
Clapton” or is it “Eric Clapton CD”? As a searcher do you
have a specific album in mind? Are you searching for Eric
Clapton’s unplugged album? If so, how are you going to search
for it? As the keywords get more specific, the more relevance it
assumes. This is actually a trade-off. Keywords or phrases that
are specifically relevant to the topic at hand tend to bring in
the correct kind of web traffic that you are looking for.

However, because of their specificity, your website will only be
used as a search result if the user’s query specifically matches
your keywords.

Writing content is not as easy as jotting down a sentence or
two. Think of the search engine as an artificial intelligence
that needs to know everything. The more it can read, the better
it can judge the relevance of your content. That being said, a
lot of internet marketers write keyword, rich content articles
with a minimum of 400 words per article. To put it in simpler
terms, a search engine is slow to grasp the whole point.

Having good content in your website is a blessing not only
for search engine optimization, but also for usefulness to the
person browsing your site. If you can make your site useful to
me, I will certainly return to your site to find out if I can
use something else again. People love useful and convenient
things; even people.

When Others Do Not Approve of Your Blog

Blogging No Comments »

Regardless of the topic of a blog, all bloggers face the potential for situations in which others do not approve of their blog. Although this type of reaction is popular with blogs focused on political or controversial issues, bloggers who maintain a personal blog may also face disapproval from those who do not approve of the bloggers choices in life. This article will discuss subjects such as dealing with negative comments on a blog, dealing with criticism from friends and family members and will touch upon situations in which blogging can cause legal problems for the blogger.

Dealing with Negative Comments on Your Blog

Negative comments posted on a blog are one of the most common forms of disapproval a blog may receive. These comments may be posted in response to a specific blog posting or may be posted as an objection to the blog in general. These negative comments may be very troubling to the blogger but fortunately there are some methods for dealing with these comments.

Bloggers who are concerned that negative comments may influence other blog readers have a few options for dealing with these negative comments. One way to do this is to set the blog to not allow comments. This will effectively eliminate the comments but it will also eliminate comments from supporters of the blog as well. Another option a blogger has is to simply delete the negative comments as he finds them. This is not a very effective method because other readers may have time to read the comments before they are deleted. Bloggers who are online often and are not concerned about negative comments appearing on the blog for a short period of time may utilize this method. Another method of dealing with negative comments includes rebutting these comments on the blog. Finally, bloggers often have the opportunity to ban visitors who are leaving negative comments from making future comments.

Dealing with Criticism from Friends and Family Members

Bloggers may also face criticism from friends and family members for the content of their blogs. Friends and family members may not use the comment section to express their disapproval but may express their concerns directly to the blogger in person, via telephone or via email. This can be a difficult situation for bloggers because they may be torn between maintaining the blog according to their vision and keeping their friends and family happy. In many cases friends and family members may object to a blog because they believe it can be potentially harmful to the blogger or because they are concerned about how the blog will reflect on them. In these delicate situations the blogger has the option to either delete or modify the blog or to speak to the friends and family members to explain his feelings without making changes to the blog.

When Blogging can Cause Legal Problems

Bloggers should be aware there are some situations in which their blog can cause legal problems. Making statements about another person which are untrue and defamatory can result in the subject of the blog seeking retribution for libel. Other blog postings can also be found to be illegal for a wide variety of other reasons. Bloggers may assume freedom of speech laws protect them fully but there may be situations in which the statements in a blog are not protected under freedom of speech laws and the blogger faces legal ramifications for his postings. Blogging which violates the copyright laws of another can also cause legal problems.

Tricks to sell your product

Internet Marketing Articles No Comments »

The whole idea of the marketing and sales is to play with the psychology of the consumers. In any campaign, efforts should be made it make it so influential that the decision making of the customer is totally in the favor of the company.

There are some tricks to manipulate the mind of the consumers, which can be utilized by not only ordinary sales person, but can be used by larger firms. Although they are used unknowingly, there is no set list.

Mutual exchanging is the first and powerful trick. The company can start with giving something for free to the customer. He will take it for the first time, but from next time he will feel obliged and will try to return the favor. Offering the product for free initially can do this. And if the customer is satisfied with the product, he will buy it for himself from next time. Some salespersons get confused with this principle. For example, it is ineffective and wrong according to this principle, to quote ‘Spend over $25 and get a free t-shirt’. The offer is not free; the customer has to spend something to get the free product. The product being given should be totally free without any condition to be fulfilled. For example, the line ‘Get the latest lipstick shade absolutely free’ will do the trick. If the shade is really good, they will buy it the next time and might even think of buying other shades of lipstick.

The next trick is to present something as of high value, but the company should incur only small or no amount in producing it, like information. It can tempt the customer by saying that the information provided to them is a big time secret and is not known to anyone at all. But some mess it up, by saying that they are providing very valuable information, but it turns out to be another advertisement.

Another example is giving out free sample to the targeted customers. Again the mistake made here is that companies distribute samples of poor quality or rejected products. This certainly lowers the customers liking towards the product and he will assume that’s the way the product is actually and won’t go ahead to buy it.

Use words, which initiate immediate action, like ‘Limited time offer’, ‘Offer ending soon’, and ‘Offer till stocks lasts’ are really motivating. The customer gets the impression that the offer will end really soon as the products are limited edition and he should go out and buy it at the very first chance. This works well specially with customers who have an interest in collecting antiques, collectibles and anything which are not easily available.

Tricking the customer in making a commitment is another next good method to increase sales. The trick is to make the customer to take small steps toward the goal, without realizing about it. Like when the customer requests for some information, provide them with the relevant information for free and make them fill a form and take contact information from them. This is like committing to get offers and information about products in future. Do not advertise in this step. In the next step advertisements about products and services can be sent to the customer to the address provided by them. Conducting surveys is another example.

Lottery is another good method. When a person buys a lottery ticket, he fills his address on the ticket. This information can be used to contact the customer in future. In the above practices it’s very vital to not to advertise in the first step. Only after getting the customer contact information, should promotional mails be mailed to him. Long advertisements that are featured in the newspaper are a small twist to this trick. If the customer invests time to read the whole advertisement, he has committed and will surely respond to the ad.

Multi-level Marketing

MLM 2 Comments »

AddThis Social Bookmark Button

Multi-level marketing is a business model where salespersons like sales consultants, distributors, and even franchise owners and independent owners work in harmony to increase the sales of the product, on commission basis. This is more like a franchise arrangement where the sales of the product depend on the combined effort of each franchise and regional manager. There are multiple levels of people receiving commission. Usually there are seven or more levels. Multilevel marketing is basically a combination of franchise and direct marketing.

This concept started in 1980s when most of the companies started handling the stocking and distribution issues and started compensating all the individuals involved. This increased the interest of each member in promoting sales due to the chance of earning bonuses and since then the Multilevel Marketing companies have taken the responsibility of taking orders, shipping goods, and paying revenue. Things became easier with the transition to Internet. Product promotion, advertising and sales were made online and hence, the whole process began to be known as online MLM.

There are various MLM compensations plans. According to the uni-level or stairway breakaway plans there are two types of distributors involved managers and non-managers. According to the matrix plans, the width of each level in a distributor’s group is regulated. In binary plans, the limit of each level’s width has two legs. Commission was paid when both the legs reached a specific target. In elevator scheme, the distributors pay splits after a certain number of units have been paid.

The commissions are paid in two ways, the first says that the commission is paid only if the product is sold and the second one involves paying commission even if the customer just signed-up, it doesn’t require the customer to buy anything. Because of the second method illegitimate MLM or illegal pyramid started to arise. The intermediate members used to make proxy customer sign-ups to receive commission and they used to tempt the participant to buy more products than they can be sold. But as most of these businesses present themselves as legal, precautions must be taken. It is better to approach businesses that follow the first method of commission, where it’s compulsory to make a sale and not just recruiting a customer. Here money isn’t paid for customer sign-up at all. MLM marketing is being practiced all over the United States and in hundreds of other countries.

In 1979, Amway Corporation was accused of price fixing. They exaggerated sales claims, while their distributors sold the products at a minimum price. After that, FTC warned all multi-level companies whose commission was based on recruiting and not sales. In 2006, all the business sellers including MLM organizations were asked to provide customers with thorough information, according to the Business Opportunity Rule introduced by the Federal Trade Commission, so as to save them from deception. Before that many motivating programs were started which hid the truth. Such programs were known as cult programs.

Laws have been made stronger. As a measure, pyramid scheme is banned in most of the countries. All the newly hired salespeople have to bare the cost of initial training and material. They even have to buy a big amount of inventory. To test the legality of MLM marketing, the 70% rule is being implemented. The members are stopped from over-loading so as to increase their commission. Only when seventy percent of the inventory is sold, order can be made for new material.

Using Interviews to Add Content to Your Ebook – Interview Content Secrets…

Writing an e-book can be difficult. Readers, particularly
e-book writers, want something that is worth the purchase.
Unfortunately for you, this often means a relatively long
e-book. To a reader, there is nothing worse than buying an
e-book only to later found out that it is only ten pages long.
That is why you will want to make sure that your e-books are
full of information. If you find yourself having a hard time
reaching your ideal word count, you may want to think about
adding interviews to your e-book.

Interviews are a great way to add additional content to your
e-book. In fact, you will also find that many e-book readers
love reading interviews, especially if they are from a
professional perspective. For instance, if you are writing an
e-book on caring for your pets, you may want to think about
doing an interview with one of your local vets. The previously
mentioned sample is just that, a sample. When using interviews
in your e-book, you will want to try and find an expert that is,
in one way or another, related to your e-book subject.

When it comes to e-book interviews, many writers think that they
sound great, but wonder how they can go about getting an
interview. In all honesty, there are a number of different ways
that you can get an interview for your e-book. You may want try
and schedule a local interview, in person. You can do this by
contacting local experts or business owners. If you are unable
to find an interview subject locally, you may be able to find
one online. If you come across the website of an expert in the
subject of your e-book try sending them an e-mail. You will
find that many are more than happy to give you a few minutes of
their time. When scheduling an interview try to make it in
person or over the phone. You should only use email as a last
resort.

In addition to wondering how they can get interview subjects,
many e-book writers also wonder what questions they should ask.
When determining what you should and shouldn’t ask, you need to
take a reader’s perceptive. If you were reading your e-book,
what would you like to see in it? This is the best approach to
take. Questions that you should definitely ask include
experience working in the field, what it took to get there, and
the pros of being involved in it. You may also want to ask your
interview subject to provide a few quick tips to your readers.

The questions that you ask an interview subject should be
prepared ahead of time. You may want to make yourself a list of
questions to ask. In fact, a list of questions isn’t the only
thing that you should do. When it comes to preparing for an
interview, there are a number of steps that you should take.
One of these steps involves coming up with a quite environment
for your interview. You may also want to think about recording
your interview, as long as your interview subject approves of
being recorded. A recording will help to make sure that you
don’t miss anything important and it will also provide you with
accuracy, especially when quoting.

Once you have officially conducted your interview and walked
away with the information that you were looking for, you may be
wondering what you should do with all of that information. Of
course, you will want to put it into your e-book, but you may
also want to use all or a portion of your interview to also
promote your e-book. As previously mentioned, many readers enjoy
reading interviews, especially by those who are considered
experts in their field. If you are able to score an interview,
you want to use as often as you can.

The decision as to whether or not you want to include an
interview in your e-book is yours to make. However, it is
important that you remember what an interview can do for you. A
professional interview will not only increase your word count,
but it may also help your e-book stand apart from your
competition.

Whether you are able to interview a nationally known expert
or just someone who is from your area, you are advised to
include interviews in your e-book. They have been known to make
e-books more interesting and readable.

Promoting Your Blog

Blogging can be a great deal of fun for some bloggers but for others it is a source of income. Whether this income is earned through an AdSense campaign, paid advertisements, affiliate marketing or some other type of revenue generating source one of the key elements to maximizing this profit is by driving greater traffic to the blog. This is because the more visitors the blog receives the more opportunities there are for the blogger to have visitors click through the advertisements in the blog. There are a few basic techniques which bloggers can rely on to promote their blog and increase traffic to their blog. This article will cover a few of these key concepts including participating in relevant message boards, optimizing the blog for search engines and keeping the blog interesting to visitors.

Active Participation in Message Boards

Participation in message boards which relate to the blog topic is actually one very simple way for blog owners to drive traffic to their blog. However, one caveat to using this type of promotion for the blog is to avoid violating the rules of the message board. This is important because some message boards have strict regulations regarding the inclusion of links to other websites on the message board. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in the blogger being banned from the message board and may also cause other message board users to not think highly of the blog owner.

Another careful consideration for the blog owner is to avoid posting the web address to his blog in a way which will be considered spam by other message board users. This is important because other message board users are likely to not visit the blog if they believe the blog owner is simply spamming the message board. This can be avoided by including the link to the blog in the signature and ensuring the posts made on the message board are informative and of interest to the other message board users. Building a reputation as a useful contributor to the message board will be beneficial to enticing other users of the message board to visit the blog.

Optimizing Your Blog

Search engine optimization is another factor which blog owners should also carefully consider. Optimizing the blog for search engines can be beneficial because improved search engine rankings often lead to increased blog traffic. Depending on the amount of competition on the blog subject rising to the top of the search engine rankings may not always be easy. Blog owners who have a blog with a very popular subject may face stiff competition for search engine rankings from other blogs and websites which may have the means to hire professionals in the search engine optimization industry to assist them in achieving high rankings.

However, there are some steps the blogger can take to attempt to boost rankings. Some of these steps include researching and using relevant keywords naturally throughout the blog postings, incorporating these keywords into the title, META and image tags and avoiding black hat optimizing techniques which could result in the blog being penalized by search engines.

Keeping Your Blog Interesting

Finally, one of the simplest ways a blog owner can help to drive traffic to his blog is by regularly updating the blog and keeping it interesting. This is important because a blog which is interesting is much more likely to not only maintain blog traffic but also generate new traffic. This is because readers who are interested in the posts on the blog are not only likely to keep coming back to the blog but are also likely to recommend the blog to other members of the target audience.

This type of word of mouth advertising can be very beneficial because those who have an interest in the content of a particular blog also typically have friends who would also be interested in the blog. Once one blog owner recommends a blog to one or more friends, these new blog visitors are also likely to recommend the blog to others if they find it to be interesting, useful or otherwise worthwhile.
